Privacy Policy

Plain language. No legal jargon. Here’s exactly what we collect, what we don’t, and why.

Last updated: June 2026 Applies to: AccidentClaimInfo.com
Short version: We don’t require you to create an account. We don’t sell your data. Our free tools run in your browser — we don’t store what you enter. We do use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which have their own data practices explained below.

Who we are

AccidentClaimInfo.com is an independent educational website providing free car accident claim information and tools. We are not a law firm, not attorneys, and not a legal referral service. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our site.

What information we collect

Information you enter into our tools

Our free tools — the Settlement Estimator, Lawyer Fee Calculator, Statute of Limitations Checker, and others — run entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit any information you type into these tools. The calculations happen on your device and stay there.

Information you send us directly

If you use our Contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We don’t add you to mailing lists without your explicit consent.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, we automatically collect some basic technical information when you visit:

  • Pages you visit and time spent on them
  • General location (country/city level — not your exact address)
  • Browser type and device type
  • How you arrived at our site (search engine, direct link, referral)
  • Your IP address (anonymized where possible)

This helps us understand which content is useful and how to improve the site. We don’t use it to identify you personally.

Cookies

We use cookies — small text files stored on your device — for the following purposes:

Essential cookies

Required for basic site function. They don’t track you across other websites and expire when you close your browser.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, how people navigate, and where we can improve. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show you ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Opt out of personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings. Note: opting out means you’ll still see ads, just not personalized ones.

Third-party services we use

We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other social media tracking tools.

How we use your information

  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
  • Respond to contact form submissions
  • Display relevant ads through Google AdSense
  • Monitor for and prevent spam or abuse

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with data brokers, advertisers, or third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics’ default settings (26 months). We don’t retain any data entered into our free tools — because we never receive it in the first place.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold, request correction or deletion, or opt out of advertising data collection. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Children’s privacy

AccidentClaimInfo.com is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we’ll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
